Parish stunner

Last weekend, we witnessed the most exciting finish to the Parish Walk ever. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it down to the finish as I was on the outskirts of Andreas at the time, but Manx Radio did a fantastic job covering not only the exhilarating climax but the race as a whole.
Congratulations to Vinny Lynch and Richard Gerrard (both E2E committee members!) for sheer tenacity and a never give up attitude. They crossed the line together and in doing so, raised the bar hugely by setting a new PW record of 14 h 42 m 32s.
Michael George thoroughly deserved the merit award he received at the presentation evening because, although he came third in the race, he had led for around 50 miles and showed extreme commitment and resilience to also dip under the previous record time despite being ill in the latter stages of the race and also being caught and overtaken by the other two with about 5 miles to the finish.
Real drama!
This has had an obvious impact on the entries for the E2E which had stood at 40 the day before the Parish Walk. Here we are a week later and the entries have now leaped to 102.
Now that the entries are over 100, I will start to list tnew entries each week because it is virtually impossible to scroll down the entry list and spot new entries.
TTFN.
